The very first biennial AfA conference took place in 2001, gathering animal protection organisations around the world to discuss issues affecting animals in Asia and explore strategies for prevention. However, between these biennial events, there was no platform for ongoing collaboration or discussion. This gap needed to be bridged to maintain connections and offer continued support.
As a solution, the AfA Coalition was established to create a central point of contact for organisations. It ensures a friendly, open, and unbiased space where organisations can find support and continued collaboration.
AfA is now the largest animal protection network in the world, uniting the voices of over 350 member organisations into a powerful, persistent movement for Asia’s animals.
