We have successfully concluded this year’s WARN Asia conference, held in the beautiful Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. Over 60 passionate participants from 30 organizations across 15 countries and territories came together to share insights and strategies for wildlife conservation.
WARN Illegal Wildlife Trade Workshop 2025
The Wild Animal Rescue Network (WARN) Asia is proud to host a workshop on the interational cooperation and monitoring of the cross-border illegal wildlife trade in East and Southeast Asia.
When?
10th – 12th March 2025

WFFT, Thailand
The workshop, hosted at WFFT’s I-Love-Phants Lodge in Thailand, will see people and organizations discussing various issues regarding the monitoring and prevention of the illegal wildlife trade, with main topics such as:
- Monitoring of illegal wildlife trade through open sources.
- International cooperation and exchange of information between WARN members.
- Lobbying for changes in legislation and better enforcement of laws.
- Discussions on recent high profile cases, such as lion and tiger trade in Indochina, the illegal export of orangutans to India, and the increase in bird trafficking.
- Training sessions on how to investigate and compile data.
Target participants: NGOs, enforcement agencies, Forestry and Wildlife authorities of East and Southeast Asia.
Price for participation:
USD 220 per person for shared room
USD 340 per person for single room
